Project overview

WRVS, a national charity, will use an award to deliver an inter-generational project in partnership with two local schools. Over ten weeks, the schoolchildren will work with elderly people to learn from the veterans about their lives. They will use wartime artefacts to participate in question and answer sessions, and learn basic jive dance moves. The project will culminate in a performance on June 26 2009 for Veterans Awareness Weekend, based on participants' childhood and wartime memories.
