Project overview

The trust, based in Forres, will carry out feasibility work to develop a viable and sustainable community owned enterprise at Burgie Castle. The trust will investigate various options such as working with other local groups to develop a community garden in the castle grounds, creating a community centre or providing local people with training in traditional skills such as stone masonry. This grant pay for design team costs, a conservation advisor, an economic advisor and project management.
