Ampthill Park in Bedforshire is designated as a county wildlife site and a grade II listed park. It was designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown in the 18th century as a deer park and site of Ampthill Castle. Throughout the park there are many veteran trees dating back to the original design of the park or earlier, aged between 300 and 500 years old. The proposed project is to engage and involve the local community in conserving and enhancing the ecological value of these ancient trees.
