Hurworth Parish Council will redevelop an area within The Grange Woodlands Nature Reserve. Activities for the project will include clearance work and the installation of fences and pathways to increase and enhance access for all community members. Bird and bat boxes will also be installed to create new habitats, and signage erected to inform people of the various flora and fauna. Around 800 people are expected to directly benefit from the breathing place, in addition to 10 other organisations.
