Over the past three years Sharnbrook Parish Council have turned Castle Close from a neglected area of land into a publicly accessible wildlife and heritage site. They will hold an open day to publicise the area further and increase numbers of visitors to the site. Activities will include guided walks, pond-dipping and bug hunting, demonstrations of animal sculptures and how to survey wildflower plants. Volunteers will learn skills to help with practical conservation work and wildlife monitoring.
