Newcastle Society for Blind People's project is to update and improve the existing garden by planting herbs and native species. They also plan to hold a day to tidy the area. In May, there will be an open day where members of The Elders Council and Age Concern will be invited. In June there will be a family fun day. On Save our Squirrel the Northumberland Wildlife trust will give talks about threatened species. The Magic of Green Compost event in September will have a speaker on how to make green compost.
