Developing Therapies for Rhodopsin Retinitis Pigmentosa
Developing Therapies for Rhodopsin Retinitis Pigmentosa - Project
Project overview
This study aims to continue the pre-clinical development of potential treatments for rhodopsin retinitis pigmentosa, which causes blindness due to the progressive degeneration of rod and cone photoreceptors in the retina. There are currently no effective treatments for RP. In particular, the study will test the in vivo efficacy of the most effective drugs from our initial in vitro screen and identify new effective compounds that may be more suitable for clinical application.
