Project overview

This project supports disabled people by providing a self-advocacy group at a day centre in North Tyneside. It will provide a forum to discuss experiences and wishes in an independent and confidential environment. This will allow beneficiaries to raise issues they would not with a member of the day centre staff. Examples of topics that will be covered include: using public transport, going out after dark, difficulties making friends and bereavement.
