This project will provide a specialised advice and advocacy service for 700 people living in low income households in areas of multiple deprivation in the Edinburgh, East Lothian and Midlothian areas, and concentrates on the particular issues and problems surrounding fuel debt. Specifically, the service will provide advice on paying for fuel and managing debt, and negotiate directly with suppliers on ways to pay for fuel and for debts to be repaid at levels that are affordable and equitable for clients.
