The project will provide befriending support and help to isolated older people living alone who are frail and housebound as well as those people who have become socially isolated due to a traumatic event such as bereavement, accident or injury. Volunteer befrienders will provide either long term companionship or a shorter term programme designed to help older people set small goals and achieve them.
