North Wales Regional Care Advisory Service - Project

Project overview

The project will support 60 sufferers of HuntingtonÂ’s disease and carers in Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy and Denbighshire. Training for carers will improve their confidence in managing the disease. Faster access to individuals in multi-disciplinary medical teams will improve the care and the knowledge base amongst medical professionals. Training for nursing home staff should increase the number of allocated spaces for respite or permanent residency for affected individuals.
