The funding will be used to extend the current building to meet increased demand and offer more facilities and services. This will make the centre a one stop shop for the island's growing community of 18,000 people. Activities on offer will include mother and toddler groups, sports and fitness classes, Citizens Advice Bureau services and youth groups. There will be a two-storey extension including a community cafe on the ground floor with seating for up to 40 people and a large multi-use space above.
