The project will work with African refugees and asylum seekers recently diagnosed with HIV to help them regain sufficient self-esteem to seek employment or training. The project developed as a result of continuing feedback from people using the group's other services. Cultural taboos, lack of confidence and social isolation have all been identified as major barriers to gaining employment.
