We committed £2 million to support work that helped to rebuild communities in Nepal following the earthquake in 2015. The focus of this funding was long-term and sustainable community rebuilding, rather than immediate disaster relief.

We consulted with UK organisations working in the disaster areas, the Disasters Emergency Committee and BOND to find where and how our funding can be most effective.
