Improving access to civil rights & the use of forest law by forest communit - Project
Project overview
The majority of the extensive forest lands of Southern Cameroon have been allocated for logging concessions or conservation areas. Poor communities whose lives depend on the forest have been displaced to new roadside settlements with little or no access to the forest. The project aims to help 5,000 people in 14 communities to obtain legal rights to forest land which will enable them to receive forest taxes and benefit from trade in forest products.
