The funding will be used to replace two second-hand and ageing minibuses with two new, specially adapted minibuses. The project will reduce the social isolation and loneliness experienced by the elderly and disabled in the south and east of Staffordshire, by providing accessible group outings in specially adapted minibuses for wheelchair-users. The volunteer-led organisation provides door-to-door service, using specially trained and qualified volunteers who look after the clients during the excursions. The trips are to venues chosen by the clients, and include concerts and theatres, and stately homes and local parks.
