This history society will use an award to undertake numerous projects to celebrate the heritage of engineer Robert Stephenson who designed and built the Royal Border Bridge in Berwick and died 150 years ago this year. The projects include drama, an exhibition in the Guildhall, seminars and presentations, film shows, railway walks and a family event. People from the local community will be encouraged to attend all the events but also in the preparation and delivery of them.
