The club will use the grant to provide a two-day junior cricket festival for young people aged between 7 and 15. The festival will be open to children from all over Lancashire and Merseyside. One of the days will be for children aged under 11 and the second will be for children aged between 12 and 13. The ground will be split allowing 8 teams to play at least 3 games each day. The award will fund facility hire, refreshments, volunteer expenses, coaching, medals and trophies, match balls and equipment.
