The Fields Millennium Green was established in 2000 by residents of the Three Estates in Kings Norton who drew up the plans and leased the land from Birmingham City Council to create a green space. Over the years the land had fallen into neglect and become a magnet for anti-social behaviour and fly-tipping. The group now intends to use between 50 and 200 volunteers to improve the park by introducing wetland plants, replacing vandalised bins and installing new benches.
