The Northwest Ecological Trust, based in Liverpool, will improve an area of heathland on Gorse Hill Nature Reserve. The site they will enhance is a five-acre area known as The Outcrop, which will plan to develop more of a heathland character to the coarse grassland by introducing new plant species with. The group will also maintain the spreading bracken and bramble and replace vegetation with more gorse and heather. Information boards will be erected the public footpath will also be improved.
