The group will use funding to clear away ivy in a woodland area which is restricting the growth of trees, snowdrops and wild flowers. Rooting pigs will be used to start clearing away the ivy then local volunteers and young offenders will finish the work by planting new trees, clearing the area and installing bird boxes. This will make the woodland more pleasant and accessible. The grant will be used to pay for a project leader, tools, protective clothing, training, bird boxes and a camera bird box.
