The project, based in the Carmel National Nature Reserve will restore woodland management to an ancient semi-natural woodland. This will involve the local community and volunteers being trained in woodland management work to encourage the return of native species, plants and habitats. The one year grant will be used to purchase a quad bike and trailer, provide landscaping and planting and a series of training and consultation events to encourage local participation and develop peoples' skills and knowledge.
