This continuation project aims to improve the mental wellbeing of people with a neurological condition by working with companion dogs. Rescue dogs will be recruited from Felixstowe Blue Cross, inmates from Hollesley Bay open prison will help to train them, and once they are ready they will be allocated to people with an acquired brain injury or neurological condition, enabling them to be more independent. Some dogs will remain at the centre and provide companionship to visiting brain injury sufferers.
