Eight outreach centres will be set up to help family carers in Suffolk. The centres will offer training sessions to increase their employability, teach care responsibilities, supply caring information and arrange social activities. A befriending service will offer ongoing one-to-one support. This new project would address the difficulties faced by family carers in Suffolk, both those related to the nature of being a carer and also those due to rural disadvantage.
