DEA will work with five regional partner agencies (development education centres) that will in turn each support five local youth groups every year to run their own Global Action Youth Projects (GAYPs). Each of the 75 local projects will involve about 20 young people. A GAYP will start by engaging young people in discussion about a local issue, of their choice, that concerns them and then help them to gain a broader perspective by relating this to a global context.
