Many children in the Philippines are trafficked into domestic work from the poorest regions of the country and end up working in exploitative, slave like conditions. Mostly female, many Child Domestic Workers (CDWs) face sexual, emotional & verbal abuse at the hands of their employers. They are denied access to treatment, emotional support and education. Many do not get paid their salaries while working 16 hour days without days off.
