The grant will pay for Communities United Project to provide training and volunteer opportunities to young people and adults aged 16+ at risk of becoming homeless or unemployed or with poor educational qualifications. A programme of community sports and play leadership workshops will enable local residents to gain skills and knowledge and work towards accreditations, to help them provide community activities. The aim is to improve confidence, motivation and life skills of people living in high crime areas.
