HERe NI is using a �499861 to run their �Building Resilience Levels of Young People from Same Sex Families� project over the next five years. The project aims to improve the lives of young people aged 8-25 who come from a same-sex family in Northern Ireland by enhancing their support structures at home school college and employment. The project offers one-to-one support helping with stress management and building confidence support hubs in Belfast Newry and Foyle for young people and their primary carers to communicate in a proactive and positive way education to develop young people�s understanding of those from same-sex families and to create a toolkit filled with information and resources to assist those engaging with young people from a same-sex family. The project is initially being rolled out online and via telephone until social distancing restrictions under COVID-19 are lifted. It aims to address issues of social isolation invisibility alienation and marginalisation.
