The project is using funding to provide a wrap around mental health support and outreach work to complement their main youth employment provision in Battersea and Wandsworth. The funding will enable the group to provide a one to one service using therapeutic psychologically informed approaches to build resilience. Once established they aim to train some ex-service users in the approach so they can be employed to deliver it to future beneficiaries. Alongside the mental health support they also plan to use some of the funding to help them develop relationships with local business owners and organisations with the aim of developing opportunities for graduates matching aspiring entrepreneurs with individuals from the corporate world who will support them through either mentoring a work internship or even investment in a business idea. The project improves self-awareness self-esteem confidence and problem-solving skills.
