The funding will be used as a contribution to deliver a water safety course to the wider community around how to stay safe in and around water and also how to provide lifesaving assistance for someone who may be struggling in the water. The project will be delivered in June across four Marina sites and will coincide with the National Drowning Awareness week. The project aims to creative greater awareness of safety around water as the milder weather approaches and the Marinas are used more regularly by the public as a result of the COVID-19 restrictions and meeting in outdoor settings.
