The funding will help to continue the work of The Life Caf project for a further 12 months. The project is aimed at reducing food poverty and social isolation for people living in the Maidstone area of Kent. It is managed by Celebration Church UK who are a registered charity and not for profit company. Activities of the project support individuals and families across the wider community who are struggling to access healthy meals and/or are isolated. Life Caf provides healthy precooked meals that volunteer drivers deliver to people's doorsteps every weekday. Suitable meals are prepared to include meeting the needs of those people with food allergies/intolerances. Project volunteers also offer a telephone befriending service and support beneficiaries needs with items such as prescription collections and deliveries and grocery shopping..
