The funding will be used to support people living with brain injury in the South and West Essex areas through a Community Support Service. Headway Essex is an independent charity established in 1985 who provide support in the community specialist day services and rehabilitation activities to people living with acquired brain injury (ABI) and their families. The main aims are to enable survivors of brain injury to rebuild their lives and fulfil their potential provide brain injury information and emotional support to relatives and carers and help the wider community to understand the causes and effects of acquired brain injury to create a more inclusive society.
